A twist-knot cup brush in carbon steel, for stripping rust, mill scale, weld slag and old coatings ahead of painting or welding. Knotted wire is more aggressive and longer lasting than crimped wire on heavy scale. Threads directly onto a 5/8-11 grinder spindle. Wear a face shield as well as safety glasses: knotted brushes throw wire in service, which is normal rather than a defect.
